I don't wholly agree. A very, very serious crisis started in 1492 as, ultimately, MILLIONS of disease laden Europeans effectively invaded the Western Hemisphere and nearly destroyed the entire aboriginal populace. The problem now is that they have not only built a militarized "police" force to help them maintain this vile status quo, they have convinced far too many descendants of the aboriginal people that money and private property are as valuable as human life. They have, in effect, balkanized the indigenous people using material wealth as a wedge.
Mr. Johnson writes: "In American media, the mere existence of migrants is, very often, curiously referred to as an “immigration crisis.” "
Hundreds of thousands are naturalized each year after having gone through legal and lengthy procedures.
The crisis happens when people enter the United States without documentation.....especially when done in large numbers.
